The Shiny1 is a collection of original songs/recordings based on the ‘Smash & Grab’ principal. A background of digital rhythms, overlayed with deliberately human guitars and vocals, mainly recorded in one take. It has been said by some that it sounds like it, GOOD!

The results are the equivalent of demo recordings, the initial concept, with all the energy, conviction and ‘warts and all’ that epitomise human endeavour. AI cannot and should not be ignored. Back in the 60s we recorded on one, or at best two tracks, torturous, but fun. Nothing can replace the intimacy of the human touch. 

Some of the material was originated in concept form as far back as 1970s, and has been revisited. Obviously, some are more recent.
